OSWEGO, NY (March 26, 2014) – Oswego Speedway’s popular Price Chopper ‘Tickets to Go’ program will continue in 2014 with discounted advance sale adult tickets going on sale at all Price Chopper Supermarkets locations beginning April 6.
The Speedway and Price Chopper have teamed to offer this special discount for seven of the regular season events at the fast 5/8 mile oval this season.
The ‘Tickets to Go’ program will again offer up to a $3 discount on adult general admission tickets. Advance sale $14 ‘Tickets to Go’ general admission passes will be available at all Price Chopper Supermarkets locations for Speedway events dated May 10, May 31, June 14, July 5, July 19, August 9, and August 16 .
‘Tickets to Go’ events in May include the annual Mitchell’s Speedway Press/Planet Fitness Novelis Supermodified ‘Kick-Off’ on May 10, which will officially begin the 53rd consecutive season of non-wing Novelis Supermodified action at the ‘Steel Palace.’
Joining the $14 ‘Tickets to Go’ schedule in May will be the return of the Speedway’s Best Western Plus/Quality Inn and Suites and U-Pull U-Save Auto Parts Spring Championship on May 31, featuring a 50-lap Novelis Supermodified main, a 30-lap Pathfinder Bank SBS main as well as Oswego Kartway appreciation night.
The June 14 date marks the first of two driver autograph nights presented by Century 21 Galloway Realty and www.OswegoCountyToday.com. The other driver autograph session will take place on JP Jewelers Night on August 9.
Price Chopper ‘Tickets to Go’ nights in July will include 4th of July Weekend’s Seminis/Canale Insurance Grand Prix Night featuring ‘Christmas in July’ and fireworks on July 5.
Two weeks later $14 tickets will be available for the C’s Beverage Center/Crop Production Services Mid-Summer Championship special on July 19.
The final event of the Price Chopper ‘Tickets to Go’ calendar will be Oswego County Federal Credit Union/Bosco’s Famous Italian Sausage night on August 16 with the running of Twin 20-lap SBS features.
Kids 16 and under will again be admitted free at all Speedway events in 2014 with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend and Race of Champions/Championship Weekend.
On track activity beings at Oswego Speedway on Saturday, April 26 with the annual open test session for all racing divisions. Testing will run from 1-5pm on April 26 and is free for spectators to sit in the main grandstand.
Racing action at the Speedway begins on Saturday, May 3 with the 64th annual Gater Racing News Opening Night featuring the Shea Concrete ‘Steel Palace’ ISMA Super Series ‘Irish’ Jack Murphy Memorial 56 and the opening round of the Pathfinder Bank SBS Road to the Championship.
