I am not certain as to how many people have tried the force feedback in rFactor, but I received a new steering wheel as a gift for Christmas last year, and would love to use it. Only problem is, it does not have the simple Logitech GUI we have all become accustomed to. Most games I have been playing, I have wanted a nice medium to stiff centering spring, with very little to no force feedback. Just my preference in driving. With a Fanatec CSL wheel base, I am unable to get that. In fact, I had to invert the FFB (Force Feed Back) to -100% to get the wheel to operate fairly consistently, and I still had oscillation at the center. The front wheels wanted to pull the steering wheel to the right.
I downloaded and installed the realfeel plugin from rFactor central, and the wheel felt remarkably better. I have not yet tuned the plugin to the mod, but suspect that realfeel will be able to dampen the FFB, and keep the centering spring active, to my liking.
I will post my results when I actually get the setup the way that I want.
