March 4, 2018 – Carson City, NV…<\/strong><\/em>The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), is set to make an appearance at The Bullring in Las Vegas for the Jeff Russell Special this Tuesday to help raise awareness for the namesake of the race, who continues to recover from injuries in a 2010 supermodified crash at this track.<\/p>\n

Making People Aware<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Jeff Russell Special is part of SUPRS Winter Western Swing. It is the goal of SUPRS to help people remember that Russell, a native of Boise, ID,  continues to heal from injuries incurred during the last practice session for the Supermodified Racing Association, (SMRA)\u201dNight of Fire\u201d event at The Bullring in Las Vegas, NV on October 30, 2010.<\/p>\n

Jeff continues to recover from Traumatic Brain Injury and has fought hard to learn how to walk, talk, and function normally since his accident. His battle is not over, and probably never will be, but with his dogged determination and the never-ending support of his family, he has come further than many ever believed he could.<\/p>\n

Donate During the Race to Help Jeff<\/strong><\/p>\n

The nearly eight year years of medical bills have been hard on his family, but you can help. During the race and from March 6 to March 13, 2018, all donations to the Dion Parish Memorial Benevolent Fund for Supermodifieds are going to be sent to the Jeff Russell Road to Recovery Fund.<\/p>\n

With all the Heat Race and 85 lap feature action being broadcast on SUPRS LIVE! beginning at 9:00pm est, friends can see all the action and keep track of stats, track telemetry and official scoring and timing charts.<\/p>\n

Race Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

Practice begins at 8:00pm with Time Trials 8:30pm. The Fast Car Dash follows at 8:45pm to set the top four starting places for SUPRS Jeff Russell Special 85 lap feature which should take the green flag around 9:20pm.<\/p>\n
