June 18, 2019 \u2013 Oswego, NY\u2026<\/strong><\/em>Brad Keysor of nearby Liverpool, NY, took the lead of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 14th Annual Jim Shampine Memorial on lap 19 of the 80 lap feature and brought home an emotional win Tuesday night at Oswego Speedway.  Port City Kick-Off winner, Keith Powell trailed Keysor at the line by 2.142 seconds for second place, and Rob Warren got the SUPRSCharger award for advancing the most places from his seventh place start to take third.<\/p>\n

Shampine Win Means a Lot to Keysor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keysor, who’s family were close friends with the legendary Shampine, said, “This win means a lot to me. My grandpa raced against “The Pine” and my grandma, who just passed away, was a good friend as well. So to be able to win this race in my first start, means a whole lot to me. It’s very special.”<\/p>\n

To the Front Before Half-Way<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keysor started on the pole, but fell to second place when the outside pole-sitter, Bob Gangwer, got a good jump at the start. The two raced closely until Keysor was able to get a good run on Gangwer to take the top spot. Early leader, Rob Warren, came home for second place about a half second back with Bob Gangwer on the podium for the second week in a row.<\/p>\n
