July 31, 2019 – Oswego, NY…<\/strong><\/em>Dave “SpeedyMan” Ohh delivered a one, two punch on his fellow Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), competitors by following up his win on the first night of the 12th<\/sup> Annual Mr. Online Supermodified competition with a win on night two as well. The combo led to a knockout on the way to snatching the Mr. Online Supermodified Cup presented by 1st<\/sup> to Finish Race Servers.<\/p>\n

The victory at Oswego Speedway<\/a> was Ohh’s third supermodified sim racing win in a row overall in SUPRS competition, and moved the Union, CT racer into second place in the 2019 SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Supermodified Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bob Gangwer, Keith Powell, round out the top three finishers.<\/p>\n

Riding a Rocket Ship<\/h3>\n

When, Ohh started the night with a new track record, breaking the nearly one year old mark of 16.099 by Bob Gangwer, with a sensational time of 15.920, it was evident that the TMS Wolfpack “Black Beauty” was akin to a rocket ship. The new track record was the second time in two nights that Ohh qualified fastest.<\/p>\n

Then, like he did in the wing supermodified show the night before, 18-time ARL sim racing champion, finished second in his heat race, turning in the second fastest lap of that event.<\/p>\n

“The car was a rocket ship tonight,” said Ohh. I couldn’t count out Bobby or Keith, but I had the best hot rod tonight.”<\/p>\n

The winner and first time Mr. Online Supermodified went on to say that he had a had just enough to hold off Gangwer as his rocket ship started to fade towards the end of the race. “Towards the end, the car started to go away, and Bobby was close. But the lapped traffic was great,” he stated.<\/p>\n

Feels Great<\/h4>\n

“The feels great,” Ohh remarked. “This is a great group of sim racers and I want to thank SUPRS for putting this on and for all they do to help supermodified racers.”<\/p>\n

Points Racing<\/h4>\n

Ohh gained a lot of points in the two night swing, and he’s now sitting in second place just 41 points behind five-time SUPRS Champion, Rob Warren. With just three nights of points racing left, Ohh knows he has his work cut out for him. “It would be nice to win the championship,” he offered. “I’m going to give it a shot, I don’t know if there’s enough time, but I’d love to battle Rob for it.”<\/p>\n

SUPRS Remembers Trenca<\/h4>\n

The SUPRS non-wing supermodified sim racing championship season continues on August 6 at Oswego Speedway<\/a> with \u201cThe Whistler\u201d  15th<\/sup> Annual Pete Trenca Memorial. \u201cThe Whistler\u201d honors one of the non-racing legends of Oswego Speedway, Peter \u201cProgram\u201d Trenca. Trenca was part of the original founding members of the Eagles Fan Club, and for many years, when fans entered Oswego Speedway for a night of supermodified racing, it was Pete Trenca they encountered first with his unique whistle and welcome as he sold the Oswego Speedway \u201cEagle\u201d souvenir program at the front gate.<\/p>\n

Practice for this race that also rewards the winner with a Guaranteed Starting Spot for the 15th<\/sup> Annual Topless! 200, begins at 8:30 pm with the green flag dropping for racing action at 9:05 pm. <\/p>\n
