Brad Keysor wins SUPRSNationals, Dave Ohh Takes Victory in SUPRS Mod 200 on First Night of SUPRS Topless! 200 Week<\/i><\/h2>\n

Brad Keysor and Dave Ohh were the stars on night 1 of SUPRS 15th Annual Topless! 200 Week. (Victory Lane Art by Borderline Enterprises)<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

August 13, 2019 \u2013 Oswego, NY\u2026<\/b><\/i>Brad Keysor of Liverpool, NY took the lead  on the first lap of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), SUPRSNationals wing supermodified 50 lap feature and easily held on for the win. Dave Ohh came home second while Rob Warren’s third place finish was enough to secure his second Empire State Super Series Regional Tour Championship in a row.<\/p>\n

The same three drivers stood on the podium at the conclusion of the SUPRS Mod 200, albeit, Dave Ohh being the winner, Rob Warren the second place finisher and Brad Keysor settling for third.<\/p>\n

Green to Checker<\/h4>\n

The SUPRSNationals, for winged supermodifieds, went green to checkered without a caution, but that’s not because the racing wasn’t close. Keysor had to fend off Rob Warren for the first thirty laps, then Dave Ohh for the last 20. The whole time, Keith Powell, who trailed Rob Warren by just five points in the overall Empire State Super Series Regional Tour Championship going into the night, kept all three within striking distance.<\/p>\n

Third Good Enough for Warren<\/h4>\n

Warren ended up winning the ESS Championship for the second year in a row after beating Powell to the line for third place in the feature. The 15 bonus points he received, give him a little more cushion over Ohh for the SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Supermodified Championship<\/a> with just one race left.<\/p>\n

Successful Return for Mod 200<\/h4>\n

From the drivers, to sanctioning body representatives from SUPRS, The Mod Squad<\/a> & Heat Finder<\/a>, all parties involved agreed that the return of the SUPRS Mod 200 for the Super HEAT Modified Tour was a rousing success. The race had but one caution right after half-way for an incident with Jeff Bivens. Every car that started finished the race.<\/p>\n

A fantastic battle between Rob Warren, who started on the pole and Dave Ohh, who came from last place, occupied most of the 200 laps, with Ohh winning out in the end. Warren’s second place run was impressive considering he had gone a lap down prior to the caution. SUPRSNationals winner Brad Keysor came home in third place.<\/p>\n

Tops Off for Rest of Week<\/h4>\n

The SUPRS racers will now get ready for the 15th<\/sup> Annual Topless! 200. The run for the Pole Position takes place Tuesday August 13, 2019 at 9:00pm. The two fastest qualifiers are locked into the front row, with the rest of the racers having to run a Heat Race or B-Main to make the show.<\/p>\n

Then on Wednesday, the granddaddy of all supermodified sim races, the SUPRS Topless! 200 takes place at Oswego Speedway. The grand finale\u2019 to the 15th<\/sup> Anniversary SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship, is 200 laps of strategy, skill, patience, and speed modeled after the famed Oswego Speedway<\/a> <\/span>International Classic 200-the greatest of all real supermodified races.<\/span><\/p>\n
