(Victory Lane Art by <a href=\"https:\/\/breezegraphics.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"BreezeGraphics.com (opens in a new tab)\">BreezeGraphics.com<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Happy to Win in Special Car<b><br><\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ironically, Powell, even though he has been a SUPRS member since November 7, 2005, (and only two other drivers besides SUPRS co-founders, John Davidson and Bob Gangwer have been SUPRS members longer than Powell),&nbsp; didn&#8217;t have his own car in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That wasn&#8217;t a problem though for the long-time crew member of the real supermodified race team, May Motorsports. He felt right at home driving the red #7 that real racer Charlie Schultz had used in SUPRS competition so many years back. &nbsp; &#8220;It feels pretty good to get a victory in this car,&#8221; said Powell. &#8220;There&#8217;s a lot of history behind this car and I&#8217;m super excited to bag this one. To win this one on SUPRS anniversary, it&#8217;s pretty neat to bring it home in this car.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After talking about how much fun he had, Powell took time to thank those involved for helping him to enjoy his race saying, &#8220;Congrats to SUPRS for just being around as long as they have been. I&#8217;ve got to thank 1<sup>st<\/sup> to Finish Race Servers, Kevin Timmins, Breeze Graphics, and Hairbag Studios for all the cool production they do, Icings on Top, CPR Motorsports, and May&#8217;s Garage. I&#8217;m really excited to win this one here tonight. The Veterans Day Special on Tuesday, November 12 is run to honor America&#8217;s Armed Forces Veterans and this year it&#8217;s moving back to New River Valley Speedway.&nbsp; Hot Laps get underway at 8:15pm on the high-banked 1\/2 mile in Radford, VA.
