March 4, 2020 – Nazareth, PA…<\/strong><\/em>The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), took on the tricky 1 mile dog-leg oval of Nazareth Speedway for night 2 of the 15th Annual Keystone Nationals on Wednesday and Dave Ohh, of Union, CT, caught his competitors sleeping at the start when he went from last to first by the start of the second lap. The driver of the TMS Wolfpack #11 never looked back and was slowed only by two cautions on his way to a dominating win. Rob Warren finished second for the second night in a row and Brad Keysor inherited third place after Keith Powell and Derrick Backus crashed late in the race right in front of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High Side in Again<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For many of his five SUPRS wins this season, Ohh has used the second, and in this case, third groove, to make passes. “The high side was in again,” said Ohh. “I had to go where they weren’t. After I saw everyone in the heats running the bottom, I knew I had to go up top.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohh had a great start and used every bit of the wide, multi-groove racetrack to his advantage, and was into second place by the time the field came out of turn two. “I made it through and set sail. I got a good start and made it up to third,” he said. “Then I snuck by Zach and Rob while they were battling. It was just a good car overall.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proving just how good he really is, even with all of his sim racing experience, Ohh had never turned a lap in competition at Nazareth until the start of the night. “I’ve never run Nazareth before,” he answered when asked what he thought of the unique venue. “It’s a good track, it’s wide and has multiple grooves and with the right set up and the right racers in there, there’s a lot of action.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
