Dave Ohh Wins Final Race of Florida Speedweeks 2021<\/em> at 5 Flags Speedway<\/em>, Takes First Speedweeks Championship<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

February 5, 2021 – Pensacola, FL…<\/em><\/strong>Dave Ohh won the final race of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS ), Florida Speedweeks 2021 Friday at 5 Flags Speedway and had smooth waters all week long to sail to his first Florida Speedweeks Championship, doing so by 65 points and dominating the week with four wins and three new track records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 5 Flags winner, Brad Keysor, finished second after leading two laps in the early going, and SUPRS Icings on Top Rookie of the Year contender, Ryan Cloonan of Oswego, NY made his first start a 5 Flags Speedway a good one with a podium finish. 2-Time SUPRS Florida Speedweeks Champion, Rob Warren, finished fourth one lap down and rookie Steven Vincent of Cicero, NY had a nice showing, leading a lap and finishing in the top five also one lap down.<\/p>\n\n\n

Great Way to End the Week<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dave “SpeedyMan” Ohh had a good hot rod underneath him from the time he unloaded the TMS Wolfpack #11 from the trailer. Throughout hot laps he sat on top of the speed charts, then went out and broke his own existing track record with a lap of 13.460 seconds. He set the fastest lap of the race, and led the most laps after taking the lead on the fourth circuit of the 50 lap feature at 5 Flags. “There were some tense laps when we were all bottled up there,” said Ohh afterwards. “But what a way to end the week with so many cautions at the first race, (Desoto on Monday), to so few here tonight.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in his young SUPRS career, Dave Ohh was able to make all of five nights of SUPRS Florida Speedweeks, and he made every one of those nights count. He never finished lower than second, won four of the five nights, set three new track records, out of 200 feature laps, Ohh led 137 of them, and also had the fastest lap of the feature race all five nights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ohh came into the night with a 50 point lead over arch rival and defending Speedweeks Champion, Rob Warren, and all he had to do was finish tenth or better if Warren won. Even so, after it was all said and done, Ohh made no bones about the challenges of SUPRS Florida Speedweeks stating, “This is a really big challenge because every track is different, but they are five, fun fast, good tracks.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There was a lot of good racing, a lot of good guys, and it was a lot of fun. I feel pretty good to be able to add my name to the list of drivers from the past that have won Speedweeks,” he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
