{"id":3538,"date":"2014-04-25T07:27:36","date_gmt":"2014-04-25T11:27:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/suprs.net\/site\/?p=3538"},"modified":"2014-04-24T11:32:25","modified_gmt":"2014-04-24T15:32:25","slug":"oswego-speedway-open-practice-set-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suprs.net\/site\/oswego-speedway-open-practice-set-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"Oswego Speedway Open Practice Set for Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>&#8220;Home of the Supermodifieds&#8221; Roars to Life with First of Two Open Practice Dates<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>OSWEGO, NY (April 21, 2014) \u2013<\/strong><\/em> The 2014 racing season marks the 64<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0consecutive season of racing operation at Oswego Speedway, but before the season officially goes green on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291041\">May 3<\/span>, the annual open test and tune practice session will take place this\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291042\">Saturday, April 26 from 1-5pm<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The open practice session is open to all divisions competing at Oswego Speedway during the 2014 racing season.<\/p>\n<p>Admission to the open test session is free in the Speedway\u2019s front grandstand, with pit passes available for $25.<\/p>\n<p>Season pit passes will be accepted for this weekend\u2019s practice, with the pit area opening at\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291043\">11:30am<\/span>\u00a0for hauler parking.<\/p>\n<p>A healthy field of both Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS Series machines are expected to be on hand for testing.<\/p>\n<p>In recent seasons, the Speedway test sessions have also been known to draw a number of Race of Champions (ROC) Modifieds, International Supermodified Association (ISMA) Supermodifieds, and ATQMRA TQ Midgets.<\/p>\n<p>Currently there are 37 total Novelis Supermodifieds and 33 Pathfinder Bank SBS Series machines registered for the 2014 racing season.<\/p>\n<p>A second open practice session will also be held\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291044\">Friday, May 2<\/span>\u00a0on the eve of Gater Racing News opening night at the Speedway on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291045\">May 3<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291046\">May 2<\/span>\u00a0practice will be open only to wing and non-wing Supermodifieds as well as Small Block Supers.\u00a0\u00a0The test session will run from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291047\">6-10pm<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Pit passes for the\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291048\">Friday, May 2<\/span>\u00a0session will also be $25, with season pit passes again accepted.\u00a0\u00a0The pit area will open on that\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291049\">Friday at 4:30pm<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Racing action officially begin on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291050\">Saturday, May 3<\/span>\u00a0as a part of the 64<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0annual opening night special at the Speedway presented by Gater Racing News featuring the first round of the Shea Concrete \u2018Steel Palace\u2019 ISMA Super Series.<\/p>\n<p>The Novelis Supermodified season takes the green flag on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291051\">Saturday, May 10<\/span>\u00a0with the 53<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0annual Mitchell\u2019s Speedway Press\/Planet Fitness \u2018Supermodified Kick-Off\u2019 at the Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>Racing on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291052\">May 3 and May 10<\/span>\u00a0will begin at\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1371291053\">6:30pm<\/span>, with kids 16 and under admitted free of charge as long as they attend with a paid adult.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Oswego Speedway be sure to visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oswegospeedway.com\/\">www.oswegospeedway.com<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0You can also LIKE the (Official) Oswego Speedway page at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/OswegoSpeedway\">facebook.com\/OswegoSpeedway<\/a>, or FOLLOW on Twitter @OswegoSpeedway.\u00a0\u00a0To purchase tickets or order merchandise please call the Speedway box office at\u00a0<a href=\"tel:%28315%29%20342-0646\">(315) 342-0646<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>About Oswego Speedway<\/em><\/strong><em>: Oswego Speedway, a sports entertainment company, is a 5\/8 mile semi-banked pavement racing oval located off the shores of Lake Ontario in scenic Oswego, NY.
