Dave Ohh Dominates at RT 93 Raceway on First Night of 2021 Keystone Nationals<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

March 2, 2021 – Slusser, PA…<\/em><\/strong>Twelve racers pulled into the pits at Route 93 Raceway to kick off the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 16th<\/sup> Annual Keystone Nationals, and when the checkered flag flew after 50 frenzied laps, Dave Ohh was the driver standing in Victory Lane after a nearly perfect night where he won his heat race, lead all the laps of the feature and set the fastest lap of the feature. As Ohh was basking in the accolades of another SUPRS win, everyone else was left looking for parts to repair their bent up virtual supermodifieds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two-time RT 93 winner Rob Warren managed to minimize damage to his 1st<\/sup> to Finish roadster and finished some four seconds behind Ohh for second place, while Keith Powell limped home to a third place after tough night of racing that seemed more like a demolition derby than a supermodified race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting Up Front Huge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A botched time trial run may have been a blessing in disguise for Ohh, who is the defending Keystone Nationals champion. With the format working to his favor, he was able to start on the pole of his heat which he easily won. Then after the feature inversion for all the drivers that finished in the top have of their heat race, Ohh’s qualifying lap of 13.685 was easily the slowest of the inversion eligible drivers. That put him right back on the pole for the feature, a spot he says was key to his win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Starting up front played the biggest role in getting the win tonight,” he admitted. “I was able to get away early and keep the car clean, for the most part, at least until about half-way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Ohh hit half-way, he also hit traffic that was the end of his TMS Wolfpack #11 being unscathed. “I got a little damage about half-way when I was lapping another car. After that, Rob was able to maintain the gap behind me. If I would have had anymore issues with lapped cars, Rob would have been right there,” Ohh said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waldron Sets Fast Time<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the feature the drivers all time trialed and Gary Waldron set fast time with a 13.378 second lap. Waldron was the only driver in the threes in the very close field. The eight lap qualifying heats were quick and won by Dave Ohh and Keith Powell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
