Points Battle Once Again Goes Down to Wire at Topless! 200

August 17, 2014 – Oswego, NY…<\/strong><\/em>The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series will bring its 10th Anniversary Season to a close this week with the running of the 10th Annual Topless! 200.<\/p>\n

Everything kicks off Monday August 18 with Time Trials for the 10th Annual Topless! 200. \u00a0While everyone will have a shot at the pole position only the top two qualifiers will be locked\u00a0into the 2014 Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship marquee event. The SUPRSNationals Winged Supermodified 50, which is part of the Empire State Super Series, will also takes place.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday August 19 the 2014 non-wing supermodified points battle will be decided with the running of the 10th Annual Topless! 200 at Oswego Speedway<\/a>.\u00a0 200 laps is a long way to go and strategy as well as speed will be the defining key to a win in this always eventful race.<\/p>\n

Ray Sand, Jr. crosses the Oswego Speedway finish line to claim the 2013 SUPRS Topless! 200<\/p><\/div>\n

Three-time and defending race winner Ray Sand, Jr. will need a good run to take an unprecedented fourth\u00a0straight SUPRS non-wing supermodified championship. He’ll have his work cut out as he trails arch rival and 2007 Topless! 200 winner Myles Maxon by 22 points. Maxon has led the points chase from the drop of the 2014 season and gained about 10 points on Sand, Jr. last week at The Whistler 63 Pete Trenca Memorial.<\/p>\n

Maxon and Chris Meyers have secured guaranteed starting positions for the Topless! 200 by virtue of qualifying races held throughout the season.<\/p>\n

It all comes down to this race and it’s sure to be a barn burner packed with action and suspense. Don’t miss it!<\/p>\n
