June 29, 2021 – Oswego, NY…<\/strong><\/em>Ryan Cloonan and Brad Keysor split the wins at the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Independence Day Twin 35s June 29 at Oswego Speedway. Bob Gangwer was the only other driver to stand on the podium with the two winners aftering finishing in third place for both features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloonan won his third feature in a row, while Keysor visited Oswego Speedway victory lane for a non-wing supermodified feature win for the first time since his Topless! 200 win in August of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It was one of the cleanest nights of racing in the recent history of the SUPRS Indepdendence Day Twin 35s. Combined, the features took just over 27 minutes to run and only four caution periods total slowed the frantic action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first race had a little more attrition than the second. Three drivers failed to finish the first and just one in the second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthony Corsoniti of N. Syracuse, NY picked up the first SUPRS checkered flag of his career when he held off Bob Gangwer for the first heat race win. Ryan Cloonan picked of the victory in the second 10 lap heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUPRS Mid-Season Championship Next<\/h4>\n

SUPRS is already at the midway point of the 2021 Gold Crest Non-Wing Supermodified season and that means that on July 6 it\u2019s time for the Mid-Season Championship.<\/p>\n

The championship battle is as close as it’s been since 2016 and with a big double points show on the line, the field should be stout. A full format of heat races and the 100 lap feature at Oswego Speedway<\/a> all pay points and the driver that collects the most points for his heat race and feature finish is crowned the 2021 Gold Crest Non-Wing Mid-Season Champion!<\/p>\n

Official practice for the SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Supermodified Mid-Season Championship begins at 8:00pm. There is a Drivers Meeting at 8:15pm. Racing is set to start at 8:25pm with the first of two 10 lap qualifying heat races. The green flag for the 100 lap feature is schedule to fly at about 9:10pm ET.<\/p>\n
