October 4, 2022 – LaPorte, IN..<\/strong><\/em>Dave Ohh of Union, CT,  has now tied Myles Maxon as the only other driver with three straight wins in the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Harvest of Speed Tuesday night at LaPorte Speedway. Ohh is now also tied with Ray Sand, Jr. in second on the all-time Harvest of Speed win list. <\/p>\n\n\n

Ohh unloaded his TMS Wolfpack “Black Beauty” roadster just as the rest of the racers were strapping in for the feature, took his SUPRS Option, started last and charged through the field to take the lead from Gary Waldron on lap 55. Unlike last year when he led from green to checkered, Ohh had some luck on his side this year when several drivers, including Ryan Cloonan, who led the most laps of the race but lost internet connection, experienced problems of one sort or another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waldron ended up finishing second with Bob Gangwer in third, filling the podium out with all former winners of the Harvest of Speed. Anthony Corsoniti had a good run to fourth and Brad Keysor was able to get by Carl Becker, who ran in the top three for a good portion of the race, for fifth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in the evening, 2-Time Harvest of Speed winner Bob Gangwer set fast time at 12.681 seconds, while Cloonan won the Fast Car Dash. Heat Races were canceled due to a low car count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUPRS next event is the 19th<\/sup> Annual Dion Parish Memorial, October 11, at Kalamazoo Speedway. Hot laps begin at 7:45 with racing at 8:30pm ET for the rFactor supermodified sim race that honors the namesake of the Dion Parish Memorial Benevolent Fund for Supermodifieds<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
