Myles Maxon Wins Both Indyana Supermodified Challenge Features at Indianapolis Raceway Park
<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

April 22, 2015 – Claremont, IN …<\/strong><\/em>Myles Maxon doubled up at the final two races of the 2014-15 Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Indyana Supermodified Challenge at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Wednesday and locked down the ISC Regional Tour Championship.\u00a0 Speedway. It wrapped up a two day trek through the Hoosier state where Maxon finished no worse than second over the course of four races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bob Gangwer hung on to second in the first feature as Rob Warren claimed third in that race. In the second feature race for non-wing supermodifieds, Warren grabbed second, and Dave Brigandi, one of the winners from the night before at The Salem Speedway held on for third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Two very tough races,” stated Maxon. “The first one, I may not have had to pass as many cars to get to the front, but it still wasn’t easy. Rob, Bob, and Dave all put up a good fight.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maxon definitely had his work cut out in the second feature of the night. After a full inversion from the finish of the first, he started in the last row, but incredibly was able to make his way to the lead within four laps. “I just got real lucky on the start as a lot of guys wanted to try to win it in the first corner,” he observed. “It looked like the start was a little ragged and I just capitalized on other’s mistakes. It still wasn’t as easy as it may have looked, but I’m happy to be sitting in Victory Lane here at IRP.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thanks to Tamarack Golf Club, WAGs Custom & Cool Awards, and everyone at SUPRS for making this a challenging season. Winning the Indyana Supermod Challenge definitely helps with the points and gives me more breathing room going into the last couple of shows.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myles Maxon cleaned house setting quick time for the wing supermodifieds, (the non-wing supermodifieds did not qualify), leading the most laps in both features, setting the fastest lap of the race in both features, and grabbing the SUPRSCharger in both races. The only thing he didn’t do is win a Heat race. Those checkered flags went to Dave Brigandi and Rob Warren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUPRS Gold Crest Division racers now make their way across the country to California for the Golden State Special on April 29, 2015 at Buckley Speedway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
