Chris Meyers Races Like a Champion to Take First Topless! 200 Win<\/em><\/h2>\n

From the drop of the green flag, Chris Meyers of Lorain, OH, was the class of the field on his way to victory in the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 11th Annual Topless! 200.<\/p>\n

Wheeling his Euphoria Vapors, Meyers Motorsports non-wing sim supermodified like a champion, Meyers led the entire 200 lap race putting all but second place a lap down in the process.<\/p>\n

This fine looking piece of hardware will be awarded to the 11th Annual Topless! 200 winner on August 18.<\/p><\/div>\n

“This is incredible, I can’t believe this,” stuttered Meyers in his post race interview. “I don’t know what to say, this is cool.”<\/p>\n

Meyers became the third Ohio driver to win the season ending special race after setting a new track record on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Rob Warren came home in second place and sealed up his first SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship by 44 points over Keith Powell.<\/p>\n

Outside pole starter, Art Palmer, Jr. of Wellington, OH was an early contender, doing his best to keep Meyers on his toes, but fell victim to a tight race car around lap 60 which allowed Warren to sneak by. Palmer, Jr. was able to hang on for a third place finish. Palmer also received the Topless! 200 Rookie of the Race and finished the season with enough points to win the Icings on Top SUPRS Non-Wing Rookie of the Year.<\/p>\n

Brian Strickland was able to hold to win the Xtreme SUPRS Challenge Championship by a scant three points over Chris Meyers as Rob Warren finished in third overall in the online sim co-sanctioned series that spanned six races overall.<\/p>\n

At the end of the race, not one caution lap had been run and every car that started finished. The race took just under one hour to run.<\/p>\n

SUPRS will take a break from the online sim supermodified racing as many members gear up to spend time with friends and family at the Oswego Speedway 59th Annual International Classic 200 over Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n
