On July 9, 2024, Brad Keysor became the first driver since 2019 other than Dave Ohh to win the 1st to Finish Race Servers IrReGuLaR 45 at Oswego Speedway. (Victory Lane Art <\/em> by Borderline Enterprises)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

July 9, 2024 \u2013 Oswego, NY\u2026<\/em><\/strong>Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), championship points leader Brad Keysor, became the first driver since 2019, other than Dave Ohh, to win the 1st<\/sup> to Finish \u201cIrReGuLaR 45\u201d on July 9 at Oswego Speedway<\/a>. The win put another notch in the likable racers career belt as it was the first time he was able to win the race since his SUPRS career started in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After finishing third in his heat, he then won his semi. The Liverpool, NY driver slotted into the fourth starting position for the 45 lap feature and from there he went on to lead the most laps, set the fastest lap of the race, and win by over two seconds. Ryan Cloonan came home in second place after starting in seventh, and outside front row starter Anthony Corsoniti, after a slightly off week at the Independence Day Twin 35s, was back on the podium for the fourth time in seven races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Win Means a Lot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It was the first time Brad Keysor had won the race that his good friend Rob Warren sponsors, and it meant a lot the BMK Logistics driver, not only because of the sponsor, but his personal remembrances of watching the real supermodified races at Oswego Speedway. “This race really means a lot to me,” he began. “It reminds me of when my grandma, (Shirley Letcher), scored at Oswego and how all the greats that I grew up watching, really had to hustle to get through the heats and semis. I remember some of the old races with how on some nights the best of the best would struggle to get into the feature, so to run the format like this and be able to finally win it, it really means a lot.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keysor went on to say, “I really have to thank Rob, (Warren of 1st to Finish Race Servers), for coming up with this idea to do this race and for all of his help for SUPRS. The servers were flawless tonight. Of course thanks to Icings on Top<\/a>, BreezeGraphics.com<\/a>, Grid Finder<\/a>, The Mod Squad<\/a>, and my own sponsors BMK Logistics<\/a> and Chasing Cameras for letting me do this.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean, Fast Night of Racing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the initial start was called back, and Daniel Nans was parked for rough driving, the feature race had four caution periods for a total of 14 laps with the first one coming out on lap three. Seven of the nine starters finished the feature with just the top three being on the lead lap at the checkers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the feature, Anthony Corsoniti and Ryan Cloonan won the 10 lap qualifying heats, while Corsoniti and Brad Keysor took the 15 lap semis. All of the preliminary events went green to checker with close quarters, wheel to wheel racing action throughout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
