9-Time SUPRS Champion Ray Sand Jr. Reloading for Small Block Super Assault at Oswego Speedway<\/em> \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

OSWEGO, NY (December 9, 2015) \u2013<\/strong> <\/em>Ray Sand Jr., the son of longtime Oswego supermodified contender Ray Sand Sr., is reloading for another shot at the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super division in 2016 at Oswego Speedway.<\/p>\n

Sand, who finished 26th in last year\u2019s SBS standings after running a part-time schedule, is working hard this off-season after acquiring a former Russ Brown Hedger chassis which will be fit with an all-new engine for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

An accomplished open-wheel Micro Sprint racer, Sand competed in only a handful of events in 2015 at Oswego with a best finish of 16th position, but it was not for a lack of effort.<\/p>\n

Ray Sand, Jr. won the SUPRS 11th Annual Turkey Shoot sim supermodified race for rFactor.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sand, Jr. is also an accomplished online racer, having won the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS),\u00a0 Gold Crest Championship a total of nine times and is the current point leader of that league which features wing and non-wing supermodifieds at Oswego Speedway.<\/p>\n

Along with primary sponsor Tandoi Asphalt and Seal Coating as well as associate sponsors The Tint Shop, Ken\u2019s Auto Repair, Guglielmos Sauce, and RPM Auto Enterprises, Sand and team have committed to another go at the \u2018Steel Palace\u2019 and will be primed and ready to leave their mark at Oswego in 2016.<\/p>\n

The 66th<\/sup> season of racing at Oswego Speedway will begin on Saturday, May 14 with the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Richie Evans Memorial 61.<\/p>\n

Oswego\u2019s full 2016 schedule will be announced in its entirety in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
