Steve Callahan Bags Third Stafford Motor Speedway Win in a Row at SUPRS Xtreme Tuesday Race<\/em><\/h2>\n

Stafford, CT – March 22, 2016…<\/strong><\/em>It took him 33 races to finally get into victory lane this season, but Steve Callahan maintained his status of online king of Stafford Motor Speedway Tuesday night after taking his fifth win in seven years at this track with the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series.<\/p>\n

Steve Callahan clobbered the competition at Stafford to claim his 3rd SUPRS Xtreme Tuesday win in a row.<\/p><\/div>\n

After setting fast time earlier in the night, “Steady” Steve took off from the drop of the green flag and never looked back beating second place finisher Bob Gangwer to the line by 1.078 seconds while third place finisher Rob Warren was nearly nine seconds behind the winner.<\/p>\n

“This feels great,” exclaimed Callahan. “I was really ramped up tonight and after the press release came out saying how many times I had won here, I was a little nervous, but there’s just something about this track.”<\/p>\n

Second place finisher Bob Gangwer said, “I’m really happy that Stevo got this win. He’s really struggled this year and had to miss some races because of work and family so to see that CPR Motorsports car cross the line ahead of me was really cool.”<\/p>\n

After time off for Easter Break, the SUPRS racers move up the coast to New Hampshire for the 6th Annual SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 next week on March 29. This race is the second leg of the 2016 SUPRS Triple Crown. Steve Callahan is the defending race champion. Practice for the NASCAR Heat sim supermodifieds starts at 8:00pm with Time Trials at 8:30pm. The green flag for the grueling 200 lap grind on this tight 1\/4 mile racetrack will drop at 9:00pm.<\/p>\n
