August 2, 2024 – Goshen, IN…SUPRS 17th Annual 2024 Mr. Online Supermodified features four incredible supermodified sim racing shows in one night on August 6, 2024. The stars and cars of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), will compete at four different tracks for four different feature lengths using both non-wing and wing supermodifieds where in a new twist to what was already the most challenging SUPRS events of the summer season. Drivers will compete at Chemung Speedrome for 55 laps, Airborne Park Speedway for 45 laps, Oswego Speedway for 35 laps and the New York State Fairgrounds for 25 laps.
As Random as a Coin Toss
The drivers won’t know until prior to practice for each track, (other than the “Moody Mile” at Syracuse where they’ll run their non-wing supers with dirt tires), whether they’ll be wheeling their wing or non-winged supermodifieds because a flip of the coin will determine which style of supermod they’ll be in at each track! If the coin toss dictates wing supermodifieds, they will Time Trial, if the coin toss determines that they strap into their non-winged supers, they’ll run Heat Races, (or depending on car count a B-Main).
Drivers will be in fierce battles with each other for as many points as possible whether they run Heat Races in their virtual non-winged supermodifieds, or mash the gas in their winged supermodifieds during Time Trials trying to advance to the feature event. A random draw for the drivers that manage to make the cut-off during qualifying, will set the line-ups for all of the feature event line-ups making it an even bigger challenge to claim glory and prestige.
At the end of the night, the driver with the most combined points from all four tracks, takes home the 2024 Mr. Online Supermodified title, and the 20 bonus points that go with it!
Part of Season-Long Empire State Super Series Tour
This big “four-in-one” contest features a full slate of racing for the SUPRS drivers as part of the season-long Empire State Super Series Regional Tour event, making it one of the most challenging nights of the summer season. Ryan Cloonan is currently the leader in the Empire State Super Series at 163 points, with his arch nemesis in the season championship just behind him with 155 points. Current points leader Brad Keysor who is on an eight race winning streak is fourth overall in the ESS standings with 141 points.
