March 3, 2020 – Slusser, PA…The first night of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 15th Annual Keystone Nationals is complete and Bob Gangwer won his first feature of the season at the end of the 50 lap NASCAR Heat supermodified feature at RT 93 Raceway.  After battling each other for most of the race, last year’s winner Rob Warren was second,  and last year’s second place finisher, Keith Powell crossed the line in third.

Finally

Gangwer’s last win came over a year ago at Mansfield Motorsports Park in the Buckeye 50 on January 15, 2019, so the victory at RT 93 was a welcome one. “Finally,” Gangwer exclaimed. “It took a while, and it’s hard to win against these guys, they are just so good and the competition is so tight, so any win is a big deal. I think that’s about the longest I’ve ever gone between wins.”

“Thanks to 1st to Finish Race Servers, Icings on Top, Hairbag Studios, BreezeGraphics.com, KT, and to my sponsors RW Woodworking,” he said. Also thanks to my mom, who’s a huge supporter of SUPRS and watches our shows as much as she can, also Pa G. and SST and Dnet for putting up with my racing every week. The lapped traffic was awesome tonight too, so thanks to them.”

Keystone Nationals Continues Wednesday

The supermodified sim racers continue their trek through PA, on Wednesday March 4, for night two of the SUPRS 15th Annual Keystone Nationals at Nazareth Speedway. The drivers will run two heat races and a 25 lap feature on tricky and technical one-mile track that, at one time, hosted the IndyCar series.
