Bonzai Becker Hits the Bullseye, Bags Turkey Shoot 50

Carl Becker Wins 11th Annual Turkey Shoot 50 at Tri-Park Speedway

Johnsonville, TN – November 18, 2014…Carl Becker of Lansing, MI had perfect aim as he set his sights on the finish line and a win in the 11th Annual Turkey Shoot 50 for  the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series at Tri-Park Speedway. Becker’s shot was straight as an arrow as he led all but one lap and claimed victory as well as a Thanksgiving Turkey from Burgers’ Smokehouse.

“I’ll take this one, at my age these wins keep getting harder to come by,” said the Lansing, MI racer.

Chris Meyers was close on the heals of Becker but couldn’t get close enough to advance beyond second place while Rob Warren moved from last starting position to third at the end of the 50 lap race.

Myles Maxon continued his incredible streak of setting the fastest lap time in qualifications by breaking his own track record of 13.532 that was set in 2009. Maxon’s new mark is a very fast 13.516 and is his third new track record of the season thus far.

The SUPRS racers will take two weeks off to allow members to spend time with their families over the Thanksgiving holiday. Action fires up again on December 1 for the 11th Annual Wing Side Up Twin 25s at Bristol Motor Speedway. Full details can be found on the SUPRS schedule page.
