Ray Sand, Jr. of Rochester, NY sailed to his third Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Harvest of Speed season opener win.  Sand, Jr. accomplished this feat at LaPorte Speedway Tuesday night after passing race leader Steve Callahan on lap 48. Sand, Jr. is a 6-time SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Champion and this win propels him to an early 20 point lead in the 2015-16 Gold Crest Wing Championship.
