Crannell Ends Heveron’s SUPRS Win Streak

July 17, 2007 – Jennerstown, PA…The SUPRS Bounty was out for Kris Heveron at Jennerstown, and 2005 SUPRS Non-Wing Champion Jim Crannell from Oswego, New York stepped up to the challenge, returning to victory lane after a long dry spell, ending Heveron’s 4 race win streak.

SUPRS veteran Gary Waldron led the first 30 laps before being passed by Crannell. Waldron proved his age is just that, a number. He finished 2nd.  Ray Sand Jr. had a nice race, reeling in the leaders in the waning laps finishing 3rd.

Goshen, Indiana’s Bobby Gangwer held off Amherst, Ohio’s “Crazy” Chris Meyers for 16 laps to finish in the 4th spot. Gangwer has been the early surprise of the 2007 season with his consistent performances. Meyers sponsored by Highspeedradio.com was the hard charger advancing 9 positions from his 14th place starting position.

Dave Soja, Kris Heveron, Myles Maxon, Tom Heveron, and Domenic Gioia all rounded out the top 10. Heat Race wins went to Ray Sand Jr. and Bud Flath from Brick, New Jersey.
