Just 12 drivers make the show, and that alone makes it something special. The fight to make the 200 lap contest begins at 8:15pm with Time Trials where the “Elite 8” qualifiers are locked into the show and will be elgible for the feature inversion redraw. Competitors that aren’t amongst the fastest eight drivers in time trials, will have to hustle to make it out of the the 25 lap B-Main to become one of the final four drivers qualified for the 200 lap main event.

Sim Race is Similar to Real Event

The race is modeled after the real Star Classic held annually at the quarter-mile paved oval track built by Charlie Elliot and now promoted by Bobby Webber, Jr.  The popular supermodified race features the International Supermodified Association and has been a mainstay of the supermodified “Triple Crown” that also includes the Oswego Speedway International Classic 200, and the Sandusky Speedway Supermodified Nationals 100.

The SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 is not only an important stand-alone show, but it’s also the first leg of the 2022  SUPRS Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing presented by Icings on Top. Similar to the real supermodified Triple Crown, it is composed of three different marquee events that includes the aforementioned All-Star Classic 200, the Season Summit 125 held at Madera Speedway, and the non-wing supermodified Topless! 200 at Oswego Speedway.

Last year, Brad Keysor set out on a goal of completing a “perfect” SUPRS Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing presented by Icings on Top by winning all three of the Triple Crown races in one season. After having been close before, Keysor opened the 2021 Triple Crown season with an exciting, come from behind win in the All-Star Classic 200.

Keysor led 188 laps in a race that had just five cautions and a long green flag run of 97 laps that started just after the half-way point of 100. Keysor was one of 15 drivers that attempted to make the 12 car starting field, the largest in the races history.

“The Coach” as he’s affectionately known, went on to win the 2021 Summit Classic 125 and the 2021 Topless! 200 completing a “perfect” Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing and joining Ray Sand, Jr. (2011), Rob Warren, (2017), and Dave Ohh, (2020), on the prestigious list of Triple Crown Champions.
