April 27, 2019 – Goshen, IN…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), in conjunction with WAG’s Custom & Cool Awards is proud to present the championship supermodified sim racing double-header, and the final race of the 2019 Indyana Supermod Challenge, on Tuesday, April 30 at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Third and Fourth Races of Challenge

The series that started with the 75 lap Harvest of Speed Season Opener at LaPorte Speedway in October with a wing supermodified NASCAR Heat race, stopped by The Salem Speedway last week for a non-wing supermodified 30 lap show. The IRP show uses the rFactor sim racing platform and features a 50 lap wing supermodified feature, followed by a 50 lap non-wing supermodified feature for the third and fourth races of the season-long challenge.

Lots of Bonus Points

The overall Indyana Supermod Challenge Champion gets 15 bonus points towards his SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Championship, and receives a five-pound bag of  award-winning Yoder’s Indiana popcorn.

But, the other bonuses that are on line, make an already fierce, season-long championship battle between Rob Warren and Keith Powell, all the more intense. On the line is a shot at the SUPRS DoubleDown of 25 bonus markers if a driver can win both features, the SUPRSCharger for 10 extra points in each race to the driver that advances the most positions from his starting spot, and the SUPRSChallenge that hands over 20 bonus points if a driver wins either feature from the last starting place.

With two weeks, and three features left in the SUPRS 15th Anniversary Gold Crest Wing Championship schedule, this could make or break either Warren, or Powell in their bid for the SUPRS crown. And with just eight points separating them headed into IRP, there’s no doubt fans are in for a treat. Of course there’s more than a few other drivers that will be looking to grab as many points as they can to move up in the standings this late in the season, so watch for them to foil the two rivals attempt to garner the most points at IRP.

About KTimmins77

Supermodified fan for over 30 years. Heard about this MOD and had to give it try! Been doing graphic art and design for along time. Owner of Breezegraphics Supermodified Art. Specializing in Vinyl Stickers and Window Clings. So designing my own paint scheme is right up my alley. :) Looking to enjoy some SUPRS racing and meet some new friends. Picked #77 in honor of "The King of Supermodifieds" Bentley Warren. I'll never forget that ragged old car (former swift 10pins) he used to muscle around The Steel Palace in the 70's.
