Windows pushes updates out on Tuesdays. Not a good day for us at SUPRS since that's our race night. Often times, an update will roll out and your computer will reboot and it will be down for a while-sometimes up to 25 minutes. Again not good if you are in the habit of firing up your race rig 10 minutes before practice.
You have some control over when and how you get your updates, (not much, but some), and you can also dictate, to some degree, the reboot process that happens for some updates.
The main thing you should do is set your "active hours" to a time that is either before or after our race night window of about 6-11.
You can also postpone updates. I tend to do that more often than not so that I can download and reboot, (if needed), on my time and terms and usually on a Thursday or Sunday when I'm not so pressed for time.
