We are expecting one of the largest fields for the Harvest of Speed that we've had in over 10 years. We know LaPorte is a tough track and there will be some rubbing here and there, but we looking forward to everyone making this year's Harvest of Speed one of the best we've had in 17 years! Just treat each other with respect, be willing to give up a spot or three, do your best and NEVER GIVE UP!

There's some important information below for those of you that are coming over from the HeatFinder.net side as well as all SUPRS members. Hopefully it's self-explanatory. Just to make things a little easier though please take special note of the following:

  1. Be certain that you have the updated skin pack. If you haven't raced with SUPRS ever, or since last year, you will need this. If you were not at Sunday Night Test-N-Tune on 10/4, but were at the Thursday Server Test on 10/1 there are two new files you will need. You can get them from the TeamSpeak Drivers Lounge File Browser. There are links below for the mod, skins, and track. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL PRACTICE on TUESDAY to GET THESE FILES!! TECH HELP ENDS at 7:42pm on TUESDAY!!!
  2. Make sure you have your name listed correctly in the race server, i.e. 99JohnDoe or 99 JohnDoe or 99JDoe are all acceptable. Screen names or nicknames are not allowed for broadcast and scoring reasons.
  3. You will be assigned a car if you don't already have one in game, (most of you won't). Please be sure that you use that car. If you are registered user of SUPRS.net and have filled out a join form, you can access the section of the forums that details the car assignments.
  4. We do not allow chatter or typing in the server any time that there are cars on the track.
  5. Time trials are conducted one car at a time and drivers are called out to the track by an official. The race director will call the flag for each lap. Generally, you will be green the first time by, but depending on time and car count, you may get an extra warm-up lap. We'll let you know in the drivers meeting. Please keep your foot on the brake while in the pit area. You can cycle through each driver to watch your fellow competitors time trial, just make sure you are moving up the line as each car goes out. When you are done with your time trial run the race director will audibly call "Checkers" and you should proceed to your pit stall, again, we suggest keeping your foot on the brake or at least taking the car out of gear.
  6. All line ups will be in the middle of the backstretch for all events of the contest. Drivers should roll out on the "drop" with the inside line staying low and the outside line staying high, keeping the middle of the track open at all times. The VID-Car will be called through and once it is in place, the race director will act as a "pace car" and will roll to the middle of the backstretch and stop, (Heat Races only). He will then call each row to the backstretch. Drivers should slowly get into the line up behind the "pace car" and keep your foot on the brake while in the line-up.
  7. Once the field is set, the race director will roll away from the pack and go to the pits. All drivers should remain parked on backstretch awaiting further instruction. Once parked safely, the Race Director will call "Take Them Away" to the pole-sitter. At that time the front row should roll out slowly. Pace speed will be announced in the drivers meeting.
  8. The go line for this track is the end of the pit wall out of Turn 4. For Heat Races, the Race Director will give an audible "GREEN". There will be one restart if the Race Director determines that the initial start was botched. Front row starters must be side by side. Drivers on the front row may be sent to the back if they can't make a clean start. Go line for this track is at the end of the inside pit wall out of Turn 4.
  9. The server will not be reset for drops unless it is the Race Director, Announcer, or Vid-Car
  10. This track has the dreaded "pit-suck" where if you get too close to inside pit wall out of turn four, it will automatically make you go pit speed all the way down the front stretch. If you get this, and we all have, just stay low. Be careful when the game releases you into turn one/pit out so that you don't shoot up the track.
  11. Without a Race Director for the Feature Race, we don't have a fair way of calling lapped cars. Just be mindful and hold a line if you are being lapped. Likewise, drivers that are lapping should be nice and not knock lappers out of the way.
  12. FINALLY---HAVE FUN! We're glad you're here and hope you enjoy racing with SUPRS
