Windows 10 Video Card Driver issue, as well as cleaner install!
Downloaded from the guys over at The Mod Squad, with a point out from KartRacer68 over at HEATFinder, they have a new (to me) Nascar Heat Essentials 1.80 install that will automagically install windows permissions. You still have to install all of the SUPRS mods, paints, and tracks, but only in the C: Program Files (x86) Hasboro Interactive folder. Not required to put in both folders. Included with this install is Mod Launcher 2, I use the SUPRS shortcuts on my desktop, but for you racers that run multiple mods, this may be a benefit.
ALSO, if you are getting a Your video card may not be up to date error, there is a newer patch.bin file at The Mod Squad. Just replace yours with the new patch.bin, and no more errors.
I hope this helps anybody that gets a newer machine, I am still devoted to Win 7 for the most part...

Getting Heat to work with Windows Vista and Windows 7
First check your C: drive for a program files folder AND a program files (x86) folder. Some Vista computers don’t have the (x86) folder and everything works ok… IE 2 of my race pod E-Machines.
Next, Install your files slowly and methodically. First to the default location, then to the same location except add (x86) to the command line. You can browse to it, or just type it in… For example…
Default
“C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\SUPRSV5
and then also install EVERYTHING here too…
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\SUPRSV5
OK, that’s half the battle… Now you need to do a little bit of Icon modifying…
Right click on your icon, on your desktop, choose properties, under target, add the (x86) command, that’s a space then (x86), then change your icon to the suprs logo if you wish, it is in your suprsv5 folder or what not, and finally click the compatibility view and check the box that says Run as administrator…
I would suggest doing this, Install Heat Essentials, or the whole game, to both folders, install 1 mod, and 1 track. Modify your icon and try it. I have it working on 3 windows 7 computers and it is fine….

Hey guys,
If you are having troubles with Windows Vista, I may have a solution. After spending a day working on my computer I finally got NASCAR Heat to run the SUPRS mods and PAVED Modified Mod. Try this in these steps.
Install EVERYTHING in the mods default locations. C:/Program Files/ HasbroInterative/NASCAR Heat
Since you had so much fun installing it there, now install it to this location, C:/Program Files (X 86)/ HasbroInterative/NASCAR Heat
Install a new copy of HEAT, or Essentials, all mods ie Winged, Non-Winged, and PAVED Mods, all tracks, and paint updates etc…
Yes you have to browse each time and install to that location for all files. Luckily you only have to do this once with all of the files, but then you have to do it whenever there is a mod update, or a paint release.
So install to the default, then to the program files (X 86) folder, whatever that is, and if you are lucky like myself and a few others, you will be racing in no time!
Also …also might need to right click and run as administrator it fixed a lot of issues i was having
See ya on the track.
