About Website Registration and Passwords-

After having losing our entire site several years ago due to users that had malware on their computers logging into SUPRS.net,(and because of that losing much of our early digitally documented history that was stored on our website server), we have taken steps to increase the security of our website. We take your privacy and our security VERY seriously.

SUPRS does not know, nor do we keep any SUPRS.net registered user passwords.

We suggest, (and after January 1, 2016 our website servers will require), that when registering for the website you use best practices for passwords. Generally speaking, your password should be 12 or more alpha-numeric characters and use upper and lower case letters, and special characters. You should then WRITE DOWN your password and keep it in a safe place.

Our website security systems will automatically lock any user out for a specific set amount of time if they have made multiple incorrect attempts to login. Our website security systems are also set up to permantly ban any user that is locked out. While we won't say specifically what that number of lockouts is before a user is permantely banned from accessing SUPRS.net, it is in your best interest to stop trying to login if you have been locked out more than twice. Let us know that you have been locked out. We will delete your username. You can then create a new user account,(using your old username if you so choose), with a new password.

When you register for SUPRS.net, you are automatically registered, with the same username, for the SUPRS.net Forums. There is no need to re-register.

Participant Requirements

  • We require anyone that wants to race online on the SUPRS race server to register at the website and become a member by filling out the form on our JOIN PAGE
  • All membership donations are non-refundable and due annually according to your join date.
  • Minimum age to join SUPRS is 16 years old.
  • Members are required to read, understand and abide by all posted rules.
The SUPRS Rulebook can be found HERE

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL DRIVERS TO KNOW, UNDERSTAND, AGREE, AND FOLLOW THE RULES WHILE IN COMPETITION. IGNORANCE OF THE RULEBOOK IS NOT GROUNDS FOR A DRIVER TO CLAIM HE DIDN’T KNOW!

Here are the most important points:

Article II Conduct, Section 2.01 Foul Language

(a)    Foul language is not allowed with SUPRS. We pride ourselves on being family oriented. Foul language (via text or voice), in the SUPRS race server or TeamSpeak server, directed toward your fellow driver or SUPRS director will not be tolerated.

Article II Conduct, Section 2.02 Forbidden Items

(a)    Understand that we do NOT EVER allow:

          (i)    Sexually explicit text, graphics, or references on your car, avatar or profile.

(ii)    Federally illegal drug, (including marijuana), text, graphics, or references on your car, avatar, or profile.

(iii)    Text, graphics or references to gang related organizations including motorcycle and hot rod gangs.

(iv)    Satanic or occult text, graphics, or references on your car, avatar, or profile.

        (v)    Text, graphics or references that are considered racial slurs or racially motivated or are references. to known organizations that promote racial bigotry and hatred. This includes but is not limited to: rebel flags, the KKK, Black Panthers, terrorist groups, etc.

Article II Conduct, Section 2.03 Flaming

(a)    Understand that we do NOT EVER allow Flaming of any kind, anywhere, at any time.

(b)   Any member found to be emailing, mailing, calling, and/or posting to social media, comments, suggestions, threats, derogatory remarks, or flaming SUPRS, SUPRS developers, SUPRS directors, other members, real supermodified racers, real supermodified tracks, real supermodified sanctions, and/or sponsors of the league will be severely reprimanded.

Article II Conduct, Section 2.04 Race Night Chatter

We want everyone to have a great time at SUPRS on race night and we are all here to enjoy each other’s company, but we ask that participants remember that we are also here to conduct a race. That means that we are pretty strict about when and what channels participants can chat or talk in. Please read the SUPRS Rulebook to make sure you understand what we expect.

SUPRS RULEBOOK

Driver Names

As per the SUPRS Rulebook, ( Article III, Section 3.00),  all drivers competing on the SUPRS Race Server are required to use the SUPRS player name format of: Number,  First Name, Last Name:

The admin app we use requires this setting so that we can lift and/or add penalties on race night. It also helps you look professional on our SUPRS Live Page.

SKINS:

SUPRS allows one skin per driver per mod at this time. This helps keeps our mod size manageable and makes life easier on the guys putting the mods together. As the need arises we may allow up to two(2) skins per driver. We often have a paint update around mid-season of each schedule so that people can change their paint schemes if they see fit. We generally try to encourage members to keep a paint scheme though an entire season though.

Connecting to the SUPRS Race Server

The SUPRS Race Servers are NOT on 24/7 and is password protected for the safety of our members. SUPRS Members have full access to the Forums where they can find all the necessary IP addresses and passwords.

We conduct a Sunday Night Test-N-Tune that gives you a good chance to check out your system, fine tune your race rig, and get some laps in at the next three tracks on the schedule.

Do Some Reading:

To learn more about rFactor, click Start, Programs, rFactor, there is a readme file. Open that, there is a lot of information there. From setting up your controls, to the keyboard shortcuts to a rough overview of car setup. We highly suggest reading it and probably taking some notes on the setup information.

For NASCAR Heat NOBODY beats The Mod Squad and Heat Finder. They have more experience than even we do with NASCAR Heat. Go to TheModSquad.info and HeatFinder.net to get a good education on the intricacies of this old game.

We also have an extensive list of sim racing sites on our links page that can help you. Take a LOOK.

Here's some steps you can take after you've registered at the website as a user and filled out the SUPRS Join Form, and if planning on running in the Gold Crest Division-made a donation to the Dion Parish Memorial Benevolent Fund for Supermodifieds, so that we can get you up to speed and racing with SUPRS:

  1. Download and install TeamSpeak3 for your operating system so that we can communicate with you. Make sure you have a microphone/headset handy. Here's some more information on how to do this: CLICK HERE
  2. Download and install TeamViewer for your operating system so that we can quickly log into your PC and put our files where they need to be. Here's some more information on this: CLICK HERE
  3. Make sure you have a legal copy of all of the sim racing game software we use. If you already have a copy of rFactor you're good to go. If you have never purchased rFactor, you'll need to create a Steam Account and download it from there. It's a pain, we know, but it's the only way you can get the game now unless you can find a used cd somewhere. For more information on how do that CLICK HERE
  4. We recommend creating a stand-alone version of rFactor for our mods instead of running it from the main installation. For more info on how do that: CLICK HERE
  5. Download and install Resillio Sync, (AKA SUPRS Sync), so that your SUPRS rFactor installation is always up to date. CLICK HERE

Make sure you are signed up for SUPRS Weekly so that we can keep you up to date on all things SUPRS as well as send you a Welcome email that has some great tips, tricks, and important info on your new SUPRS membership. Simply return to the Join page or CLICK HERE to sign up for SUPRS Weekly. We use a special double opt-in format for SUPRS Weekly that protects you against spam, (nobody likes that), and we will never sell your email address or personal information.
