August 28, 2021-The second "Sunday Funday" show will take place tomorrow, Sunday August 29 at Lorain Raceway Park. It will be the Midwest Supermodified Series (MSS) Championship Night. The points battle for the lead is close between Kyle Edwards and Trent Stephens and there are a few other positions that could change. In addition to the MSS Supermodifieds, the Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Chargers will also be in action.

On Sunday the pit gates will again open early at 10 a.m. Grandstand admission starts at noon. The hot lap sessions also start at noon. Racing starts at 3 p.m. Adult admission is $20. Admission for seniors (65+) will be $15. Admission for kids ages 6-12 will be $10, free admission for kids ages 5 and younger. Adult pit passes will be $30 and $15 for kids ages 12 and younger. Lorain Raceway Park is a cash only facility, there is an ATM near the front gate. 

Second generation driver Kasey Jedrzejek will be making his first LRP appearance in a Supermodified as he will be driving the Henes family # 36. Another driver making their Supermodified debut will be Kyle Capodice. Kyle is currently 8th in points in the 410 Sprint division at Attica Raceway Park. Kyle will be driving the Lesiecki family owned #8 Supermodified.

There are nineteen drivers already entered for the MSS 2021  season championship night. The list includes Kyle Edwards, Trent Stephens, Cord Erhart, Otto Sitterly, Kyle Capodice, Mike McVetta, Talon Stephens, Moe Lilje, Kasey Jedrzejek, John Evans, Jason Wells, Dave Shullick Jr., Rich Reid, Austin Berg, Jim Paller, Denny Fisher, AJ Lesiecki, Larry Lehnert and Allen Ferrell.

Kyle Edwards is the current MSS  points leader with 498 points. Following Edwards is defending MSS champion Trent Stephens with 487 points. Rounding out the top fifteen positions are Mike McVetta 454, AJ Lesiecki 452, Rich Reid 438, Jim Paller 402, JJ Henes / K. Jedrzejek 373, Jonathon Lesiecki 362, Moe Lilje 313, John Dale Evans 310, Talon Stephens 310, Larry Lehnert 198, B.Santos / G.Furlong 161, McMannay / Berg 143 and Aric Iosue with 135 points.
