The 2016 version of the Topless! 200 held August 16, 2016, was a fine supermodified sim race with only three cautions to give the drivers a breather. Joe Achzet looked to be the shoe-in for the win but fell victim to Rob Warren’s patience. Warren won his first Topless! 200 at SUPRS Oswego Speedway with Achzet in second and Derrick Backus making a hard charge to the podium. Keith Powell held onto a fourth and it was enough to give him the 2016 SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship. The hero of the race was Kevin Timmins, who despite severe damage incurred in a mid-race accident, kept making repairs and would Never Give Up.
Special thanks to SUPRS Member Steve Callahan for compiling these Topless! 200 screenshots.
