The New England based series will first come to the ‘Steel Palace’ on Memorial Day Weekend for the second annual Port City 160 ‘Super Spectacle’, which is also tentatively listed as ISMA’s season opener on Saturday, May 28.

The ISMA supermodifieds will contend for the second year in the 50-lap ‘Irish’ Jack Murphy Memorial, joining Oswego’s Novelis Supermodified Jim Shampine Memorial, and the Pathfinder Bank SBS Tony White Memorial.

The ‘Super Spectacle’ at Oswego will once again serve as the only event during the 2016 season that open-wheel fans can see the winged ISMA supermodifieds and non-wing Novelis Supermodifieds compete on the same night at the same venue.

Top Canadian runner Mark Sammut is the defending ‘Irish’ Jack Murphy Memorial champion, while seven-time Oswego champion Otto Sitterly once again claimed the Jim Shampine Memorial crown in 2015.

ISMA will return to Oswego for its annual summer stop as drivers will again contend for the popular King’s crown during the running of King of Wings VIII on Saturday, July 9.

In what has become one of the more popular stops on ISMA’s summer tour, the King of Wings annually serves as a cross roads between the best winged drivers from New England, the Midwest, as well as Oswego Speedway.

Last year Oswego regular Sitterly coped his first career ISMA Supermodified triumph in the King of Wings, beating the best in winged racing driving for Jim Bodnar and Dave Shullick Jr.

Sitterly became the third weekly non-wing Oswego racer to earn the King’s title in 2015 joining Bob Bond and Dave Gruel as champions of the prestigious event.

The third and last stop at Oswego in 2016 will be a part of the 60th annual Budweiser Classic Weekend festivities at the Speedway, as the ISMA tour will be featured on the Saturday night part of three nights of action.

The 23rd annual Bud Light ISMA Super Nationals on Saturday, September 3 will once again be a 60-lap affair, crowning the first Supermodified champion of the weekend.

Tim Jedrzejek and Mike Lichty put on a thrilling display in last year’s Super Nationals with Timmy J eventually coming out on top.

Select dates from the rest of Oswego Speedway’s 2016 schedule were unveiled at the Speedway’s championship banquet on November 7, with the 66th season opener announced as Saturday, May 14 featuring the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour Richie Evans Memorial 61.

Oswego’s 2016 schedule will be announced in its entirety in the coming weeks.

Individual ticket pricing and season ticket packages will be announced after the full schedule release.
