April 3, 2019 – Nazareth, PA…The second of three nights of the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 14th Annual Keystone Nationals kept everyone on their feet as rookie Brad Keysor narrowly won the 25 lap feature at Nazareth Speedway. Rob Warren chased Keysor across the line in second and Bob Gangwer finished third.

Things Went Keysor’s Way

“It feels outstanding,” Keysor said. “There’s been a couple of races where I was in place to steal a win this season, but you have to have things go your way. Fortunately, tonight, things went my way.”

The winner, from Liverpool, NY, was quick to acknowledge the SUPRS sponsors after the third win of his rookie season saying, “Most importantly, thanks to BreezeGraphics.com for everything they do, Icings on Top, and 1st to Finish Race Servers becaise with out all the parties involved there’s no way we could do what we do.”

Don’t blink or you’ll miss some great rFactor supermodified sim racing in this video of the 25 lap feature from Nazareth Speedway.

Late Race Caution Causes Tension

Keysor took the lead from Rob Warren on lap 12 and never really had any breathing room with Warren glued to his rear nerf bar. That alone could cause any driver to be a little nervous, but it was a caution with seven laps to go that caused the driver of the Big Red Roadster the most stress.

“That late race caution scared me,” Keysor stated. “I hadn’t practiced on restarts and I knew Rob was really fast. I was probably a little too cautious on the restart, it go real loose. It wasn’t the best lap times at the end, but it was a good win and a good finish.”
