November 9, 2021 – Radford, VA…After breaking the Rob Warren’s stranglehold on victory in the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Veterans Day Special last year, Dave “SpeedyMan” Ohh crushed the competition and has now joined John Davidson as a two time winner of the race.
Like he did in his first SUPRS Veterans Day Special win last year, Ohh dominated the night in his TMS Wolfpack #11 roadster by setting quick time, leading the most laps, setting the fastest lap of the race and lapping all but second place finisher Bob Gangwer.
Gangwer finished some six seconds behind over Anthony Corsoniti who was one lap down. Even Warren, who has won the race a record four times succumbed to the relentless pressure of Ohh and finished in fourth one lap down. Ryan Cloonan finished in fifth place also one lap down to the winner.
Anthony Corsoniti was the only driver to stop a perfect Dave Ohh sweep of the night by taking the Fast Car Dash win over Gangwer, Warren, and Ohh.
Time for Turkey Shoot
Next Tuesday, the SUPRS racers bring out the big guns as they go on the hunt for a Burgers’ Smokehouse Turkey in the 17th Annual Turkey Shoot at Memphis Motorsports Park. The popular race awards the winner a Burgers’ Smokehouse Turkey delivered to their doorstep in time for Thanksgiving.
The drivers start their hunt for the prized turkey when practice begins at 8:00pm. Time Trials are set for 8:30pm with the six lap Turkey Trot the first race of the night at 9:05pm. Car count will dictate if there is one or two eight lap Heat Races prior to the 40 lap Feature. Dave Ohh is the defending winner of the race.
