Oswego Speedway Earns ‘Best Track/Series’ Social Media Honor in annual Speed51.com Awards presented by JEGS
OSWEGO, NY (February 8, 2017) – Oswego Speedway received its second honor in as many days as a part of Speed51.com’s “51’s” presented by JEGS, earning the ‘Best Track/Series Social Media’ presence in all of short track racing for 2016.
Since 2012, Oswego Speedway has ramped up its social media efforts across the platforms of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Oswego Speedway public relations representatives provide weekly and sometimes daily driver features, up to the minute promotions and recaps, as well as weekly video promos, commercials, and news productions to keep fans informed and up to date, as well as promoting drivers, teams, and sponsors.
Last season part of Oswego Speedway’s social media presence surrounded chronicling the Oswego Speedway’s transformation from asphalt to dirt for NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week, utilizing several stories, photos, and even video to capture the process.
While the track uses social media as a way to promote events and recap races to over 20,000 registered fans and followers online, one of its main goals is to support and promote partners and sponsors.
In recent years the number of Speedway marketing partners has climbed to new heights, thanks in part to the coverage they have received online along with drivers and teams.
Finishing second in the ‘Best Track/Series Social Media’ category was the World of Outlaws followed by NASCAR Home Tracks, the Pro All Stars Series and Madison International Speedway in Wisconsin.
