Doug “Flash” Forgue Designed Track Marks SUPRS First Release for rFactor

May 26, 2015 – Goshen, IN… The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), has released their highly anticipated version of Oswego Speedway for the rFactor gaming platform designed by Doug “Flash” Forgue.

“This is a very important release for SUPRS,” stated league co-founder Bob Gangwer. “Doug took what was already a fantastic track built for NASCAR Heat and made it even better for rFactor. I think people are going to be blown away when they are able to race online supermodifieds at the track known as “The Home of the Supermodifieds” and I can’t wait to hear what the community has to say about our project.”

The new SUPRS Oswego Speedway for rFactor has many of the specific details that make the real Oswego Speedway unique in all of short track pavement auto racing and was painstakingly recreated by Flash with the use of over 500 photos, GPS, and personal experiences of SUPRS members. online racers will see many of the nuances of the real track including the backstretch pit entrance, tear down garage, and even the drain grate in turn one. The realism also includes the old “Black Monster” scoreboard outside of turn one.

“This has been a huge undertaking and it’s been nearly six years in the making, but we pride ourselves on realism because we feel that it helps us show the online world what real supermodified racing is all about,” explained Gangwer.

The SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship presented by 1st to Finish Docks & Hoists kicks off on June 2nd with the Port City Kick-Off 75 and will run through the second week of August using a new rFactor non-wing supermodified also designed by Doug Forgue. All events will take place on this new track.

About Oswego Speedway:

Oswego Speedway, a sports entertainment company, is a 5/8 mile semi-banked pavement racing oval located off the shores of Lake Ontario in scenic Oswego, NY. Oswego Speedway has been a continuously run weekly racing venue since August, 1951. The premier open-wheel pavement short track cars in the world, supermodifieds, run weekly at Oswego Speedway making Oswego the only supermodified racing venue in the world to do so and as such can lay claim to being “The Home of the Supermodifieds.”
