October 1, 2024 – LaPorte, IN…Bob Gangwer of Goshen, IN took home his third Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), Harvest of Speed on Tuesday at LaPorte Speedway to open the 2024-25 winged supermodified sim racing season. The win ties Gangwer for second most Harvest wins of all-time with Ray Sand, Jr. and Dave Ohh.
Gangwer won the BMK Logistics Fast Car Dash which put him on the pole position for the 75 lap feature and he then went on to lead the entire race from the drop of the green to the waving of the checkered flag. Gangwer’s victory also gives him a head-start on the Indyana Supermodified Challenge Regional Tour points championship.
Fast qualifier, Ryan Cloonan of Oswego, NY finished second, while 2024 SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Supermodified Champion, Brad Keysor from Liverpool, NY crossed the finish line in third.
