Sand, Jr. Closes Points Gap by 10 on Maxon with Three Shows Left
August 5, 2014 – Oswego, NY…Ray Sand, Jr. was able to hold off Myles Maxon for the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series 45 lap feature win at Oswego Speedway Tuesday. He is now within 24 points of Maxon in the Championship points standings with just three shows left.
Rob Warren led 17 laps of the feature but was unable to hold off the two arch rivals that are battling for the 10th Anniversary SUPRS Gold Crest Non-Wing Championship and ended up third.
Heat wins went to Warren and Becker.
SUPRS moves on to Jennerstown Speedway for the Laurel Highlands Classic 40 lap race tomorrow night.
