Callahan Moves to Top Spot of Empire State Super Series Standings with One Race to Go
“Steady” Steve Callahan led the most laps after passing Kyle Perry to take the Columbus Day Special Empire State Super Series race at Elba Speedway. Callahan used to win to vault into first place in the ESS Championship standing and second overall in the SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Championship season points.
“It feels weird to win this early in the season, but it sure feels good,” said Callahan.
Myles Maxon and Kyle Perry joined Callahan on the podium. SUPRS moves on to Byron2 Speedway for the Byron Brawl tomorrow night for the sixth and final leg of the 2013-14 Empire State Super Series Regional Championship. Practice begins at 8:00pm, Time Trials are at 8:45pm and Racing gets underway at 9:00pm.
