March 30, 2005 – LaPorte, IN…The Summit 125 Lap event concluded the SUPRS Inaugural season at LaPorte Speedway. LaPorte is a very tight track with lap traffic always playing a role in the race. The SUMMIT 125 kicked off on lap 1 with Pole Sitter Gary Waldron and John Davidson setting the pace. With those two setting the pace, John Flath was in third position and quickly made his move to the lead across the start finish line, flying past Davidson and Gary “Mutley” Waldron. Davidson caught up with Flath on the second lap and took off from the field on lap 2.
Davidson had the fastest lap of the race scorching the track in 12.971 seconds. Chris Meyers moved the most places from where he started in the race that took a little over 33 minutes to run.
AJ Truax finished second with JP Curry coming home third.
A total of 14 of the 16 drivers that started the race finished the race including Canadian Sean Gibbs, the winner of the Cherry Breaker 63. Gibbs ended up finishing fourth.
