Dave Ohh Wins Second SUPRS Mr. Online Supermodified
July 29, 2020 – Oswego, NY…Dave “SpeedyMan” Ohh stood alone at the top of the heap of fallen Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), racers after clobbering the competition for the second night in a row and winning his second Mr. Online Supermodified Cup presented by 1st to Finish Race Servers.
The victory at Oswego Speedway was Ohh’s tenth supermodified sim racing win in a row, and moved the Union, CT racer into an insurmountable position on top of the 2020 SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Supermodified Championship.
Rob Warren and Brad Keysor, who had his best NASCAR Heat supermodified finish, came home in third.
Played the Game
SpeedyMan comes by his name honestly, but when he went out for time trials, he left everyone wondering why he wasn’t as fast as normal. It became apparent, once the feature line up came out, that he had gamed the system for a front row start. He opted to take his chances in the heat race, knowing that even starting last, with just five cars in each heat, all he had to do was pass one to get his qualifying time back. “I had to play it to my advantage,” admitted Ohh. “I was listening in the drivers meeting and I knew what I had to do.”
What he did was win his heat race which gave him his time back, which in turn, meant he started on the pole for the NASCAR Heat non-wing supermodified feature. It was the best seat in the house and allowed him to lead all the laps, and put every driver but the top four a lap down.
Proud to Have Name Added to List
Even though he now has two Mr. Online Supermodified Cup, Ohh was happy to have his name added to the short list of Mr. Online Supermodified winners once again. “I’m proud to be able to add my name to that list,” he said. “There’s a lot of good racers on that list, I hope I get a chance to add my name a third time, you just never know, but I’d like to join Rob and Keith.”

Time for “The Whistler”
The SUPRS non-wing supermodified sim racing championship season continues on August 6 at Oswego Speedway with “The Whistler” 15th Annual Pete Trenca Memorial. “The Whistler” honors one of the non-racing legends of Oswego Speedway, Peter “Program” Trenca. Trenca was part of the original founding members of the Eagles Fan Club, and for many years, when fans entered Oswego Speedway for a night of supermodified racing, it was Pete Trenca they encountered first with his unique whistle and welcome as he sold the Oswego Speedway “Eagle” souvenir program at the front gate.
Practice for this race that also rewards the winner with a Guaranteed Starting Spot for the 16th Annual Topless! 200, begins at 8:30 pm with the green flag dropping for racing action at 9:05 pm.

Practice begins at 8:15pm at Oswego Speedway. The Drivers Meeting takes place at 8:30pm with Time Trials following at 8:45pm. The first 10 lap Heat Race is scheduled to start at 9:05pm with the 50 lap Feature to follow.
