OSWEGO, NY (May 1, 2014) – Oswego Speedway is proud to present its race fans with an opportunity to win a ride in the Canale Insurance 2-Seat Supermodified, while supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Raffle tickets will be available on Saturday night at the Eagles Fan Club booth and in the novelty stand as a part of the Speedway’s 64th annual opening night celebration, with the chance to win a ride in the popular Oswego Speedway Canale Insurance 2-Seat Supermodified.
Raffle tickets will be available for $1 per ticket or 15 tickets for $10. The winning ticket will be drawn during the Speedway’s 53rd annual Novelis Supermodified Kick-Off on Saturday, May 10. Winner need not be present.
The winning ticket on May 10 will not only win a ride in the Canale Insurance 2-Seat Supermodified, but also two general admission race tickets.
All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide).
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
Gater Racing News will present the 64th annual opening day celebration at the Speedway featuring the first round of the Shea Concrete ‘Steel Palace’ ISMA Super Series, and the Road to the Championship lid lifter for the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super Series on Saturday, May 3.
The ultra-fast winged ISMA Supermodifieds will take on the Oswego speed plant for 56-laps in the 2nd annual ‘Irish’ Jack Murphy Memorial, while the SBS will contend in their first 35-lap main of the year.
Grandstand gates will open at 3 p.m. on May 3 with time trials set to start at 5 p.m. followed by racing at 6:30 p.m.
To purchase tickets for Oswego Speedway’s 64th annual opening night call the Speedway box office at (315) 342-0646. General admission seating is available for $25, with reserved seating on sale at $30, and VIP tower seating with all you can eat food and beverage for $90.
Once again in 2014, kids 16 & under will be admitted free of charge with a paid adult and active military are welcome to enjoy a free night of racing with I.D.
