December 9, 2022 – Goshen, IN…It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), sim racers are ready to celebrate it with SUPRS Nineteenth Christmas Special 25 on December 13, 2022, at Sanair Super Speedway in St. Pie, Quebec, Canada.
Full Night of Fun
A full night of fun awaits the supermodified sim racing drivers competing at the Nineteenth Christmas Special. A format that includes Time Trials, the “Reindeer” Dash for the SUPRS Six, and Qualifying Heat Races all lead up to a 25 lap Feature Event where the SUPRS racers will vie for a Burgers’ Smokehouse country smoked ham as the present for winning the race.
The fine folks at Burgers’ Ozark Country Hams have been providing simple traditions since 1952 when they built their first “ham house” on their farm in Missouri.
With complete attention to quality and customer service, this family owned company continues to do things the old-fashioned way taking great care in the time-honored traditions of curing, aging, and smoking superior quality products.
Sanair is Challenging
For the third year in a row, the scene for this fun-filled night of sim racing action is the challenging 1-mile paved triangle of Sanair Super Speedway in Quebec, Canada.
The track is composed of a high-speed, full-tilt section from turn two through the triangle backside that flows into the sweeping turn 3 and 4 which then shoots the drivers out onto the front stretch.
But after all of those hammer-down sections, is the trickiest part of the track. The slow speed, tight turn one has been the undoing of more than one driver because it’s where the drivers have to slow their supermodifieds down from a screaming 130 mph, to well under 50 in order to navigate it safely.
There’s not much room for error, but the drivers that use this critical braking point to their advantage, and get tricky turn one right, can often make up precious ground, and execute a daring pass for position.
