April 2, 2023 – Carson City, NV…SUPRS rolls into the bright light city where a fortune’s won and lost on every deal for the Jeff Russell Special April 4, 2023 at The Bullring. With the Gold Crest Wing Supermodified Championship XIX going tighter than the one armed bandits of Las Vegas, the racers will go for broke trying to gain as many points as they can with just four races left in the season.
Race to Support Jeff Russell
More importantly, this race is run to support real supermodified racer Jeff Russell of Boise, ID who was critically injured during the last practice session for the Supermodified Racing Association, (SMRA)”Night of Fire” event at The Bullring in Las Vegas, NV on October 30, 2010.
Jeff continues to recover from Traumatic Brain Injury and has fought hard to learn how to walk, talk, and function normally since his accident. His battle is not over, and probably never will be, but with his dogged determination, and the never ending support of his family, he has come further than many ever believed he could.
For over 12 years, the medical bills have been hard on his family, but you can help. All donations to the Dion Parish Memorial Benevolent Fund for Supermodifieds, received between 4/4-10/2023 will be sent to the Jeff Russell Road to Recovery Fund.
