Second Race of Summer Non-Wing Supermodified Season to Use NASCAR Heat
June 7, 2019 – Goshen, IN…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), second race of the 2019 non-wing supermodified summer season is set for June 11 and will use the NASCAR Heat sim racing platform for a “Regular 45” at Oswego Speedway.
First of Three NASCAR Heat Summer Shows
The June 11 race is the first of three NASCAR Heat based shows this summer. This race is also part of the SUPRS/HeatFinder.net NASCAR Heat Supermodified Challenge which is open to the public. The only requirement is that a driver has registered his intent to compete as a Silver Crest division driver using the SUPRS join form, and has downloaded the SUPRS NW2 mod and SUPRS Oswego Speedway v2 for NASCAR Heat. Both are available at TheModSquad.info as well as SUPRS.net.
What is Regular?
The SUPRS “Regular” format is one that mimics the Oswego Speedway race night format that was used through the mid-2000s. Drivers are lined up in their qualifying Heat Race by their season points won handicap. They must then race into a qualifying place, (generally the top four). If they make the cut off from the Heat Race, they are then inverted once again based on the handicap system. On most nights, this means that eight drivers are inverted for the 45 lap feature.
