February 22, 2020 – Goshen, IN…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS) heads to Stafford Motor Speedway for the New England 50 on Tuesday February 25, 2020 and it’s the first time since 2017 that the original supermodified sim racing sanction has held a race at this famous CT speedplant.
“Stafford Steve” Stands Out
This race is the thirtieth of the season, and will mark the ninth time that SUPRS has raced at “The Home of the SK Mods.” In the previous eight shows, one driver has stood out among the rest as the best at Stafford-Steve Callahan. “Stafford Steve,” as he’s been called, has five wins with three in a row in one span from 2014-2016. He also won the first two races SUPRS ever ran at Stafford in 2010 and 2011.

First Time Since 2009 for Double Header of Supermodifieds and Modifieds at New Hampshire Mile
Goshen, IN – February 14, 2020…Is it Washington’s Birthday? Is it Lincoln’s Birthday? Is it even a holiday? Whatever it is to you, on February 18, 2020 it’s a way for the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), and the NASCAR Heat sim racing community to honor the office of The President of the United States of America. And for the first time since 2009, the supermodifieds, and the mighty modifieds, will share a double dip of excitement on the mile at New Hampshire International Speedway.
NASCAR Heat Community Meets at NHIS
The NASCAR Heat community featuring the best drivers of The Mod Squad, HeatFinder, NHRL, and SUPRS will come together to race supermodifieds and modifieds in two separate NASCAR Heat sim racing shows on the same night at New Hampshire International Speedway.
The supermodified portion of the event will be contested with SUPRS NASCAR Heat wing supermodifieds, (SUPRS W v6). The supermods are the under-card and get their night started at 7:15pm with Hot Laps. Time Trials, and Heat Races lead up to the the 25 lap feature scheduled to the take the green flag at 8:10pm.
Following a quick break to switch race and voice servers, the TMS Super HEAT Modified Tour hits the track at 8:45pm for a quick five minute Hot Lap session. This is followed by Time Trials at 8:55pm, and the SUPRS TMS Presidents’ Day Modified 75 presented by HeatFinder feature at 9:05pm.
Presidents’ Day Facts
While the real meaning of the Presidents’ Day holiday is a bit murky, the facts are known about SUPRS Presidents’ Day Special, at least for the supermodifieds. The first edition was run in 2005 at New River Valley Speedway and was won by John “Bud” Flath of New Jersey. From 2006 to 2008, New Hampshire International Speedway played host to the Presidents’ Day Special, then was not run from 2009 to 2013.
Since the return of the race in 2014, it’s been run back at New River Valley, The Bullring, and Buckley Speedway. The Presidents’ Day Special has used both the NASCAR Heat and rFactor sim racing platforms and has varied in length from 25 to 75 laps depending on what track was used.
On the modified side, the history of the race isn’t as readily available. What we do know is that Chris Heveron was the winner the last time the modifieds raced with the supermodifieds at NHIS. In a race that had 14 starters, Heveron led 113 of the 125 laps and won by thirteen seconds. Myles Maxon was third and Chris Meyers, the leader of the first 12 laps finished third. Six cars finished the race on the lead lap and it took 54:14.2. minutes to run.

February 9, 2020 – Manchester, NH…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 10th Annual SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 is set for February 11, 2020 at Star Speedway in Epping, NH. The 2020 Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing presented by Icings on Top gets rolling at this challenging race.
Sim Race is Similar to Real Event
The race is modeled after the real Star Classic held annually at the quarter-mile paved oval track built by Charlie Elliot and now promoted by Bobby Webber, Jr. The popular supermodified race features the International Supermodified Association and has been a mainstay of the supermodified “Triple Crown” that also includes the Oswego Speedway International Classic 200, and the Sandusky Speedway Supermodified Nationals 100.
Supermodified Sim Racing Triple Crown Race
The SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 is not only an important stand-alone show, but it’s also the first leg one of the 2020 SUPRS Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing presented by Icings on Top. Similar to the real supermodified Triple Crown, it is composed of three different marquee events that includes the aforementioned All-Star Classic 200, the Season Summit 125 held at Madera Speedway, and the non-wing supermodified Topless! 200 at Oswego Speedway.
Many consider winning just one of these events a noteworthy accomplishment, but taking the checkered flag in all three is a true mark of a supermodified sim racer. Only two drivers have accomplished the feat in SUPRS 16 years and not surprisingly it’s the two guys that stand on top of the SUPRS All-Time Win List-Ray Sand, Jr. and Rob Warren.
Three Former Winners Expected
Three former winners of the SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 have indicated they will be ready to roll on February 11. Two are two-time All-Star Classic 200 champions and one is looking for his first win since 2012.
Last year Rob Warren was content to ride in second place, conserving his car, a move unlike his first win in 2017 when he lead every lap and ran away from the field. However, he suddenly found himself in the lead after Brad Keysor lost control of his car and spun into the infield then back onto the track in turn one.
2015-2016 winner Steve Callahan finally has a break in the work schedule and it looks like he’ll be able to try to come back for his third win on Tuesday. Callahan finished in fourth place last year. His first win in 2015 was, at that point, the closest in the young history of the race where he held three-time All-Star Classic 200 winner Ray Sand, Jr. at bay. In 2016 he joined Sand, Jr. as a multi-time winner and led all 200 laps.
Keith Powell of Carrollton, OH, the 2012 SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 winner, is looking to take another step up on the podium from his incredible run of second place finishes. In fact, Powell, who is sponsored by Icings on Top, has never finished below second place in the last three years. He missed a string of 200s from 2013-16, but his methodically slow pace early in the race, and his ability to play the long game puts him as one of the favorites to win.
SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 Details
Just 12 drivers make the show, and that alone makes it something special. Add in the facts that the racing is contested within the confines of Star Speedway’s quarter-mile, there’s heavy traffic almost from the drop of the green, the track tends to get slick as the race wears on, and drivers become fatigued turning 10 second laps, you can bet that this is one of the toughest races on the SUPRS schedule and in all supermodified sim racing.
Practice for the SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 begins at 7:30pm. The Drivers Meeting takes place in TeamSpeak following practice. Time Trials start at 8:15pm where the Elite 8 get locked into the feature.
A blind draw for the Elite 8 takes place prior to the running of the 20 lap B-Main at 8:30pm to set the rest of the 12 car starting field. The Green flag for the 10th Annual SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 drops after pre-race festivities and driver introduction at about 9:10pm.

January 31, 2020 – Goshen, IN…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), 2020 Florida Speedweeks for supermodified sim racing beings on February 3 and the week-long trek through the Sunshine State visits five tracks in five nights before crowning a Speedweeks Champion on Friday, February 7.
Five Nights, Five Tracks
Featuring five tracks in five nights, SUPRS 2020 Florida Speedweeks has a little something for everyone. Every track is completely different and the week includes tracks from a 1/3 mile inside a stadium to high-banked 3/4 mile and everything in between. These variations of track sizes, banking, surface and two different sim racing platforms always makes for great racing and unpredictable finishes each night.
For the third year in a row, the schedule and tracks for Speedweeks stays the same and that consistency should lead to track records being broken as the drivers have honed their set ups over the last few years.
2019 Speedweeks One for the Record Books
Last year, in what mirrored the closest season championship points battle in SUPRS history, Rob Warren and Keith Powell found themselves tied in Florida Speedweeks points at the end of five nights. Powell, the perfect image of consistency throughout the week, was the defending Speedweeks Champion, and was looking for his third straight Speedweeks Championship, hoping to break his own record of being the only driver in SUPRS history to win the SUPRS Florida Speedweeks Championship back to back.
Warren was as hot as the Florida sun throughout the week and won three features, making him just the third driver in SUPRS history to accomplish that feat. Ultimately, that was what broke the 340 point tie between himself and Powell, allowing Warren to win his very first SUPRS Florida Speedweeks Championship.
