Fremont, NH – February 24, 2024..The 2024 SUPRS Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing, presented by Icings on Top, starts at the iconic Star Speedway on February 27, 2024 with the 14th Annual All-Star Classic 200. This electrifying event promises to deliver high-octane thrills as the best virtual supermodified racers battle it out on the digital version of the 1/4 mile asphalt track.
The race is modeled after the real Star Classic held annually at the quarter-mile paved oval track built by Charlie Elliot and now promoted by Bobby Webber, Jr. The popular supermodified race features the International Supermodified Association and has been a mainstay of the real supermodified “Triple Crown” that also includes the Oswego Speedway International Classic 200, and the Sandusky Speedway Supermodified Nationals 100.
Supermodified Sim Racing Triple Crown Race
The SUPRS Triple Crown of Supermodified Sim Racing consists of three races run in the same year over the course of the wing and non-wing supermodified seasons and is a testament to the skill, endurance and sheer determination of the competitors.
Race one of the year is the SUPRS All-Star Classic 200, (wing) at Star Speedway, race two the SUPRS Summit Classic 125, (wing) at Madera Speedway, and race three the SUPRS Topless! 200, (non-wing) at Oswego Speedway.
The following drivers have succeeded in claiming a “Perfect Triple Crown” by winning all three in the same year.
- Ray Sand, Jr.: 2011
- Rob Warren: 2017
- Brad Keysor: 2021, 2023
- Dave Ohh: 2022
Many consider winning just one of these events a noteworthy accomplishment, but taking the checkered flag in all three is a true mark of a great supermodified sim racer.

Three Former Winners Expected
Three former winners of the SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 have indicated they will be ready to roll on February 27. Two are two-time All-Star Classic 200 winners and have dominated Victory Lane at Star since 2020, and one is looking for his first win since 2012.
Defending winner Brad Keysor is one of only four drivers to have won the Triple Crown and last year became just the fifth driver to win the All-Star Classic 200 more than once. Keysor led 195 laps and lapped the field en route to his second win which propelled him to the 2023 Triple Crown. Had it not been for a for a spin in 2019, Keysor may well have been tied with Ray Sand, Jr. as the driver with most career All-Star Classic 200 wins at three. If Keysor can pull off the win this year, he’ll be just the third driver to go back-to-back as an All-Star Classic 200 winner.
Alternating wins with Keysor’s in 2021 and 2023 is Dave Ohh. The speed master from CT led all 200 laps and lapped the field for a total smack-down of his rivals for his first win in the All-Star Classic 200 back in 2020. He came back in 2022 to lead 187 of the 198 green flag laps on the way to his second win at Star. Ohh’s ability to handle a loose race car under the most demanding circumstances, as well as an uncanny eye for maneuvering through the tight confines of lapped traffic, are coupled with his stated preference for longer races making him “SpeedyMan” a triple threat to become a three-time All-Star Classic 200 winner.
Keith Powell of Crestline, OH, the 2012 SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 winner, hopes to take the top spot on the podium after a long string of second and third place finishes. In fact, Powell, who is sponsored by Icings on Top, has never finished out of the top five since 2017. He missed a string of 200s from 2013-16, but his methodically slow pace early in the race, and his ability to play the long game puts him as one of the favorites to win.
SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 Details
Just 12 drivers make the show, and that alone makes it something special. Add in the facts that the racing is contested within the confines of Star Speedway’s quarter-mile, there’s heavy traffic almost from the drop of the green, the track tends to get slick as the race wears on, and drivers become fatigued turning 10 second laps, you can bet that this is one of the toughest races on the SUPRS schedule and in all supermodified sim racing.
Practice for the SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 begins at 7:30pm. The Drivers Meeting takes place in TeamSpeak following practice. Time Trials start at 8:00pm where the Elite 8 get locked into the feature.
A blind draw for the Elite 8 takes place prior to the running of the 20 lap B-Main at 8:15pm to set the rest of the 12 car starting field. The Green flag for the 14th Annual SUPRS All-Star Classic 200 drops after pre-race festivities and driver introduction at about 8:45pm.
