OSWEGO, NY (March 24, 2014) – Oswego Speedway and Turning Stone Resort Casino have announced the return of the popular ‘Favorite Driver’ contest for the upcoming 2014 racing season at the famed ‘Steel Palace.’
The second year program will once again give fans an opportunity to give something back to their favorite driver at the conclusion of the 2014 racing season.
The Turning Stone Resort Casino ‘Favorite Driver’ contest will again be a weekly fixture at Central New York’s fastest sports facility, Oswego Speedway, beginning on Saturday, April 26 with the Speedway’s annual open test session to be held from 1-5pm.
A ‘Favorite Driver’ entry blank will be on the back side of all weekly tickets for the 2014 season. Simply write your favorite driver’s name in the blank space on the back side of your ticket and bring it to the Turning Stone Resort TS Rewards Desk and officially enter your favorite driver’s name into the running for a 2015 season pit pass at Oswego Speedway.
The driver with the most votes tabulated by Tuesday, September 30 will be declared Oswego Speedway’s Turning Stone Resort Casino ‘Favorite Driver.’
In order to be eligible, a driver must be registered in either the Novelis Supermodified or Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions at Oswego Speedway as viewed on the Speedway’s official website.
Not only do Oswego Speedway drivers have a chance to win big at the end of the season, but fans of the Speedway can also cash in on a weekly basis. By turning in your favorite driver entry ticket to the Turning Stone Resort Casino TS Rewards Desk you will automatically receive a $10 casino gaming free play courtesy of Turning Stone Resort Casino.
Voting will be collected weekly and displayed at www.oswegospeedway.com for fans to keep track of their favorite driver. Voting tabulations will also be reported on Oswego Speedway’s social media accounts through Twitter and Facebook.
Last year’s winner of the Turning Stone Resort Casino ‘Favorite Driver’ contest was Oswego Speedway veteran and former Indianapolis 500 starter, Joe Gosek. Gosek barely edged out fellow Novelis Supermodified shoes Michael Barnes, Otto Sitterly, Pat Lavery and Pathfinder Bank SBS rookie Anthony Losurdo for top honors.
Oswego Speedway is proud to welcome back Turning Stone Resort Casino as a third year partner with the ‘Steel Palace.’ In 2012, Turning Stone Resort Casino came on board as a race night partner and they again return in 2014 as the title partner of the ‘Favorite Driver’ contest as well as the presenting partner of Oswego Speedway’s heat and feature event victory lane.
