SUPRS 16th Harvest of Speed Goes to Defending Season Champion Warren

October 1, 2019 – LaPorte, IN..It’s taken his whole sim racing career, but Rob Warren of Pulaski, NY has finally gathered his first  Harvest of Speed victory at LaPorte Speedway. Keith Powell came close to taking his second Harvest, but came home second. Two-time Harvest winner, Bob Gangwer came back from mid-race troubles to finish some distance back for third as the Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS),  kicked off it’s 16^th season of online supermodified sim racing.

Happy to Start Season with Win

“Man that was fantastic,” said Warren. “I’m usually so far behind at the Harvest of Speed to start the season, it was nice to be at the front.”

Warren’s win in his 1st to Finish supermodified propels him to an early , but slight lead in the hunt for his fourth SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Championship title and sets the tone for what already looks to be a very competitive year of supermodified sim racing. The win also places him on top of the season long Indyana Supermod Challenge.

Earlier in the evening, defending Harvest of Speed winner Keith Powell set fast time at 12.705 seconds while Rob Warren won the dash and Carl Becker took the heat race win.

Dion Parish Memorial Next

The SUPRS racers invade southwest lower Michigan and Kalamazoo Speedway for the 16^th Annual Dion Parish Memorial October 8, 2019. Practice starts at 8:00pm. Time Trials follow at 8:30pm and Racing gets underway at 9:05pm.
